Modern rock art. The life of one person

Modern rock art. The life of one person

Since the discovery of the cave paintings, it has become clear that nothing has changed over the centuries. People still decorate the walls.
In my work, I drew an analogy between modern “rock” painting and the rock painting of ancient people.
Over time, all surviving drawings and inscriptions will become part of our history. Therefore, all framed works are like a museum exhibit.
The installation area is large: 2.5 x 2.5 m.  This was done to create a slightly oppressive feeling. The installation is much larger than the average person. Approaching work, an incomprehensible feeling arises. The viewer expects to see something great and beautiful, but sees in front of him the dirt that surrounds him every day. Only now this dirt is sublime.
In the sequence of works you can see the life story of one (by no means the only) person.
The baguette design suggests that the hero could have lived his life differently. He could have left behind another legacy, for example, paintings on the level of Aivazovsky. From afar, the frames look beautiful and rich, but when viewed up close, you can see that some of them are tattered and beaten by life, just like the main character of the story.
