Artist Statement
Artificial intelligence plays an important role in my artistic practice. I use neural networks to extract images from their original context, detach them from history, and free them from references to specific places or individuals.
I work with what does not exist, and artificial intelligence allows me to strip my works of the personal, making them more universal in the broadest sense of the word.
My practice often explores the nature of human memory, as well as the ideas of family and the home inhabited by the “little person” - the ordinary individual whose everyday existence reflects broader human experience.
